NASA astronomers were jubilant yesterday over the discovery of a new galaxy. Containing over 100 million stars, including a remarkable string of Red Dwarfs, this is one of the biggest nebulae ever documented. Astrophysicists estimate it to be over 240 billion light years away, but it is hurtling in the direction of Earth. This NASA Hubble telescope image shows this galaxies’ unique “wine bottle” shape including a Red Dwarf cluster label that appears to spell out “GNAY”. Fittingly the bottle is empty.
