I have always been fascinated with Vermeer’s interior landscapes. The colours, the lighting, and subject draw you in, but it is the intricate detail that fascinates. Many say the images, created by this 17th century Dutch artist, are too perfect. In fact they say he was a cheater! In just five paintings I will, in my usual slapdash fashion, give you a history of Vermeer’s work, times, and techniques. Remember: you get what you pay for!
