"Vincent’s Chair with Pipe" by Vincent Van Gogh
Painted around the same time as yesterday’s chair, but what a difference! Earth tones, a humble piece of furniture, and a soothing pipe all contribute to suggest a comfortable and stable man. Does this look like the seat of a man who is about to cut off his ear, present it to a prostitute, and end up in the nuthouse? I think not. Moral of the story: “Never judge a man by his chair”.
