More like Ka-Boom town! I’m starting to really like this guy! Why? The more I dig the more he reminds me of me. I take this painting as a warning about the evils of unchecked industrial growth. Easy for me to say but THB had to really have balls to make this statement during the great depression. The power poles are obvious crosses and the brawling, wheeling-dealing citizens are about to be thrown out of the town (temple). A great painting that deserves more analysis by a real art historian.
