"Jeune Femme a la Rose" by Amedeo Modigliani
Also at Christie’s May, Imp-Mod, auction this charming Modigliani sold for $11,200,000. A nice flip for the guy who paid $3,200,000 for it 15 years ago. And they say the art market is in a slump! I’m intrigued by the French title from an Italian artist. Whose idea was that? I really like it though, as it combines GNAY’s simple whimsy with Mona Lisa’s thought provoking smile. Speaking of GNAY, his “ARMAGEDDON” is now “Beaucoup Bras” and will be coming to a Christie’s art auction soon! Like, tomorrow.
