"Self-Portrait" by Vincent Van Gogh
This is one of Vincent’s last and most famous self-portraits. Van Gogh suffered from a variety of mental disorders and diseases that hampered his time at the easel. Vincent never worked while “stricken” so those that attribute his paintings as coming from the mind of a madman are wrong. In fact I think Vincent had an acute sense of his place in the word and this painting shows it. He senses himself as being of the environment, not in the environment. Where do you fit in?
