"Cave of Hands" by Unknown
Now that Oprah has started following this blog, I thought this would be a great time for a recap, so I give you – “The Complete History of Art in 10 Paintings”. There is a wealth of interesting Stone Age cave paintings out there, but I was really taken by this one. It is from a cave in Patagonia and is about 10,000 years old. These hand silhouettes were created using a clay pipe to spray the pigment onto the cave wall. I think you would agree it is a pretty cool piece and would easily fit into any modern art gallery today. Well done Unknown. Great Start!
