"The Rock Needle as seen… blah blah blah" by Claude Monet
Since you are reading this and I am writing it, it is fair to assume my deal with the National Gallery in Ottawa fell through. So this week lets look at some NGC recent acquisitions and maybe learn from that. This is a lovely impressionist landscape with multi-coloured rocks and water but it has a very long and boring title. For me the title is an important and integral part of the piece. In fact, I pride myself on my witty and clever titles, which apparently are lost on our National Gallery. Fun Fact: GNAY rhymes with Monet. Hmmm.
