"Bridge over Lynn Canyon" by Frederick H. Varley
I have been to Lynn canyon and it is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Deep clear water rushing over massive boulders through a lush and magnificent old growth rain forest. This might be Lynn canyon, but it’s the post apocalyptic “Mad Max” meets “The Road” version. I see two possibilities here. This valley was brutally clear-cut in the early 1920’s and Varley was merely painting what he saw at the time, or he had a Nostradamus like vision of what will be and he painted that. I’m hoping for the former.
