This is another painting that is more “thought provoking” than “whimsical” and as a result hasn’t been too popular. That is the great thing about doing limited edition prints – you quickly find out what people like! I’m not exactly sure when my whimsical exercise, in shipping containers as toy blocks, became an environmental cautionary tale of over consumption, but I knew it would. I think the yellow sky, the dead tree, and the red-eyed crow are pretty good hints that this painting is more than just decorative. (I think that kills it for many). Note: if you see a crow in any of my paintings – it’s usually trying to tell you something.
