So, instilled with a fascination and awe of art, I set out to make something of myself. School, career, and family followed. Along the way I read artist biographies to stay in touch. Irving Stone’s, “The Agony and the Ecstasy” and “Lust for Life” were a couple of the first. I discovered beer, meditation, and yoga for relaxation. I went to yoga for exercise and body flexibility, but ended up stretching my mind. It made me look inside myself and to catch glimpses of inner consciousness that whispered “do it”. I think this twisting of my body and laying quietly on a mat somehow reawakened my creative spirit and was instrumental in “The Creation of GNAY”.
