The Vancouver Province, November 2, 2017: Tomorrow’s “World Series of Art” parade route has been finalized. Conquering local hero, GNAY, is set to ride an elephant the length of Davie Street from Burrard to Beach. The triumphant local artist captured the “World Series” crown in a tense two day paint off with Britain’s Damien Hirst. GNAY’s “whimsical but thought-provoking” work was criticized for being a tad “cartoony” but in the end eclipsed Hirst’s contemporary “shock slop” in a 7-1 decision. Hundreds of thousands of art lovers are expected to attend the celebration. The city is sparing no expense and in honour of GNAY will be hosting a free English Bay beer garden after the parade. Thank you, Gregor!
