I have found with my art there is a fine balance between “whimsical” and “thought provoking”. My happier whimsical landscapes sell way better than my deeper darker more thought provoking works. As with my children, I love them both equally. There is a lot going on in this brooding highway interchange cultural mash-up, but not much whimsy. It hasn’t been a big seller, but rumours of a major Canadian art gallery (can you say National Gallery of Canada?) kicking its tires persist. It’s my second best title and I think it deserves a second look.
