“The Road Across the Wolds” by David Hockney
I have no idea what a wold is but I do really like this landscape from Britain’s most loved living artist. David is a little older than me (80) and a little more established (his paintings hang in museums and sell for millions), but we both love to make art and use our iPads to do it! Because of this, David is sometimes referred to as the “British GNAY”. I love his colourful landscapes that I think tend to become abstracts inspired by nature. Like Vincent before him he definitely sees and paints more colour than meets the eye. I will definitely “borrow” some of these colours for my farm piece.
