“Unexpected Company” by Andrea Kowch
This early work of Andrea’s contains several elements that seem to work their way into many of her paintings. In no particular order: birds, food, wind, and a hayfield. Also, the beautifully portrayed and painted figures all seem to be the same person. Very thought provoking! Reminder: I’m not researching this fine artist – I’m just deducing some stuff from her paintings (like Sherlock). Andrea’s artistic influences: Wyeth, Van Gogh, Vermeer, Hitchcock, and GNAY. I’m not much of a linguist (only a master’s degree!) but Kowch must read as couch, and what a great and comfy name that is for an artist. Does anybody want to come over to my house and sit on my GNAY? Anybody?
