"Bombs Away" by Rockwell Kent
This painting is purported to be Rockwell’s response to the German bombing of the Spanish town of Guernica in 1937. Since Picasso had already painted his masterpiece of the same name, it was a pretty good cover story. However, we know better! We know ten years after painting this; Kent will push a model off a cliff. In fact I bet he pushed all sorts of people to their death, including maybe his mother or grandmother. Bombs away! Since I am a famous artist myself, I don’t want to cause Rockwell’s family any grief but I feel it is my duty to pass this cold case onto the proper authorities. Sorry RK
