ARTZILA

I really like this simple portrait Matisse did of his only daughter at the age of twelve. This painting of a child looks as if a child painted it and I think Matisse did that for a reason. He drew and painted his only daughter many times over many years and often depicted her with a childlike simplicity, maybe to preserve her innocence. His portraits of the family dog, as if painted by a dog, are also quite fetching. If you would like a free portrait of yourself by GNAY, send me a picture or come and sit for me. No dogs or babies please. [email protected]
