“The Beer Drinker” by GNAY
PLAYBOY: You haven’t always been the “top dog” on the international art stage. Tell us about the dark days before you were discovered?
GNAY: Yah, I had a bit of a “blue period” were nobody was interested in me or my work. But I battled through those dark days, one beer at a time. Beer and meditation. Mostly beer.
PLAYBOY: Speaking of beer it seems to show up in your work from time to time. Why is that?
GNAY: I like to drink when I paint, and paint what I drink. It’s my yoga, without all that posing and sweating. It balances me.
PLAYBOY: So now that you are rich and famous, and on top of the art world, I guess boozing is behind you?
GNAY: Yah, pretty much, now I only drink on two occasions – when I’m thirsty and when I’m not.
