“Wheat Fields at Auvers by Vincent Van Gogh
This isn’t Vincent’s most famous wheat field painting, but is is a beauty! I like the way Vincent has taken a boring subject and made it come alive using colour. I love the gold and blue combination and I will steal it for my own painting. We don’t have wheat fields in Delta, but we do have golden fields (hay?) of this colour and the way I paint it won’t matter if it is wheat or hay. I can make my sky any colour I want. I choose this blue. So, I have a subject and a loaded palette. What’s next?
