Rojia Dadashzadeh is a Vancouver–based artist.  She was born in Iran and moved to Ontario at age eighteen. She holds an honours degree in Fine Arts from the University of Waterloo, a post-graduate degree in Web and Graphic Design from Sheridan, and Le Grand Diploma in cuisine and pastry from Le Cordon Bleu Paris. In 2012 she received her Bachelor of Education from UBC in Art Education. Rojia has worked for numerous Vancouver based organizations from Studio B Productions animation to Coastal Jazz and Blues Vancouver International Jazz Festival.  In 2006 she was granted the best poster design award by Granville Island for the new Olympic 2010 winter art festival, Winterruption. In 2007 she moved to Paris to attend one of the most prestigious culinary schools in the world. In Oct 2008 she was chosen to work with the Prime Minister’s private chef for a government function in Ottawa. In August 2008 She represented Canada on Canada day in Trafalgar Square, London, England. Rojia is currently represented by Art Interiors Gallery in Toronto. She has been developing her own primary and secondary year art education curriculum and teaches International Baccalaureate Visual Art to grades 5-10. Her work is in many private collections in Vancouver, Seattle, Toronto, Tehran, Oslo, California and Portland.
