John Cerullo graduated as an art student at Georgian College where he studied fine art and art history. While studying art history he learned how to incorporate classic art elements into his works by taking little bits of pieces from the Renaissance era artists that impressed him. John was able to create a style that is truly unique to him. His drawings are more like paintings as you can see the brush stokes, lines and creases in the paper from the tools he uses to create texture, his use of lights and darks move your eyes across the canvas making his figures come to life. The size of his work's helps draw you into them. John is one of the few artists that can make you feel what his drawings are saying.
