ARTZILA

I am so informed and affected by place.  As an immigrant to Canada from South Africa, I have always been drawn to ageless landscapes of trees, rocks, water, and light. 

Here, I discovered incredible views of these primal elements, and have wanted to capture them - in internal stillness - to look at, keep and share.  Canada is beautiful!

Photography has been a hobby for many years, but it was only recently that the landscape of Northern Ontario called strongly, resulting in this series of photographs.  I love honing in close on details then juxtaposing elements, light and stillness into the photographs.
